Accomplishments

The students of 3rd year and 4th year participated in 5th National Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition organized by Christ University, Bangalore on 16th-18th January,2020 and participate in the Negotiation, Mediation and Client Counselling competition. The team for negotiation comprising of Aakriti Gupta and Charu Upadhyay came up as the first runners up in the competition. Another team enrolled for the mediation competition comprising of Bhuvanesh Puri and Shambhavi Kashyap emerged as the second runners up in the competition. Through this Competition, the students were exposed to an environment where they were able to brush up their mediation and negotiation skills.

The students of 4th year participated in the Client Counseling Competition of Law Vision Fest 2020 organized by Dr. Ambedkar College of Law, Nagpur on 13th-15th February,2020. The team for Client Counseling comprising of Atishay Sethi and Sahil Billa came up as the winners in the competition. The competition took place over the course of 3 days and was divided into 2 rounds: Written Test and final round. The experience gained has helped us in the way a client has to be counseled and what skills a counselor should have while addressing the client. The theme of the problem related to Matrimonial Laws pertaining exclusively to the issues of seeking custody by a husband from her wife on the grounds of insanity.
